Our Story

We all love pie, but picking that flavor that will satisfy the whole family is always a challenge. Flake Pie Co. has changed the rules on pie eating — Personal size pies to meet everyone’s individual tastes. That means pie isn’t just for the holidays, but is an every day dessert.

We use the freshest ingredients in our scratch-made bakery to make our pies and Flakies (gourmet hand pies) so you never have to compromise on the flavor you love most. Everybody gets exactly what they crave, every single time!

Carol Timmons was one of the founders and creators of many of the recipes that make up Flake Pie Company. Many of her recipes she created over the years for her family. Carol was actively involved in various aspects of Flake and was often at the bakery helping and training. Carol was known for serving others and took great pride in providing delicious pies to our customers. In 2005 Carol was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, which she fought for 17 years. She attributed her long battle to the excellent care she received at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. 

In January of 2023, Carol finally succumbed to the awful disease that is Cancer. We at Flake Pie Company and her family miss her dearly and will always remember her passion for serving others, and making amazing pies! We are honored to contribute a portion of our sales of her personal favorite, the Brown Sugar Flakie, now known as, "Carol's Brown Sugar Flakie", to the important cause of cancer research being done at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital.
